Problem:
Consumers Energy wants to better reach company employees, especially the ones in foreign countries, through the Web.

Solution:
A Lotus Notes application is used to manage the content. When a site update is requested an agent extracts the content, packs it into a zip file, ftp it on the Web server and then initiates a telnet session with the UNIX host and runs the Perl script that unpacks the zip file and recreates the site. A transcript of the telnet session and status data is then emailed to the requestor. (In Partnership with Q Ltd. And Interconnect of Ann Arbor)

Designed the application and developed the code in LotusScript, HTML and JavaScript.
